The Gate of Heaven

By Maureen Robinson

This is a gate at the Ormeau Park in Belfast - one of the parks created during Victorian times to give relief to city communities in industrialised Britain. It was posed by my mother on a trip to the park to take photos when it was a happy coincidence the winter sun was low in the sky. My mother suffers from dementia and does not believe in the afterlife whereas I do.
